Buzz your head. Find your freedom. Fund a kid’s confidence.
WHAT IT IS
You don't have to shave alone.
If hair loss has brought you to the point of thinking about shaving your head, The Buzz Club is here to make that moment feel less lonely. We’re buzzing together (virtually) on September 1 to raise money for Variety Australia’s wigs for kids program, helping children experiencing medical hair loss access wigs, confidence, and choice. Come for the buzz. Stay for the hair loss besties.

THE STORY
Meet Claire, the inspiration for
The Buzz Club.
My friend Claire had significant thinning hair, and the thought of buzzing it terrified her. She felt nervous, scared, and unsure if she would regret it.
"But once she did it, everything changed."
She felt beautiful, free, and confident. The buzz became a turning point, so much so that she started a hair loss Instagram account afterwards.
Because this isn't just a haircut. It can be the moment everything gets lighter. It's about taking back control, letting go of the hold hair loss had, and feeling like yourself again.
Claire didn't have a community around her when she did it. The Buzz Club exists so you don't have to do it alone.

FAQS
The questions everyone asks
Still unsure? That's completely normal. Here's the rundown.
Women with hair loss who are ready, nearly ready, or gently side-eyeing the clippers from across the room. And if you're not shaving at all, you're still welcome to donate, share, and cheer from the sidelines.
The Buzz Club is for women who are feeling ready to do the buzz...however, this is a big decision. It's scary, it's emotionally loaded, it's not easy. If the big day comes and you're still not feeling 'there' yet, that's completely okay. We hope that you felt just one step closer to your confidence by being part of the club.
Buzz Day is September 1. Once you sign up, you'll join a countdown in the private group leading up to the big day, full of hype, tips, and encouragement. And, if this date doesn't work for you, don't worry! We'll be buzzing all week long.
Every dollar raised goes to Variety Australia's Hair with Heart program, which helps fund custom wigs for kids who have lost their hair due to medical conditions like alopecia, trichotillomania, cancer, and other rare disorders.
Access to a private community, daily countdown support, pep talks from Holly and guests, your own fundraising page, special goodies from our sponsors, and the virtual buzz event on September 1.
Only if you want them to be. When you sign up you'll opt in or out of having your images shared, and you're always in control of what you post and when.
If your hair meets Variety's donation guidelines, you can do a chop and donate it. It's a lovely way to support someone you love, or take part without a full buzz.
In Australia, yes! Donations are processed securely by Variety Australia. Please note that donations are not tax deductible in the US or overseas.
