My favourite synthetic wig brand, Petite Wigs, reached out to ME to help design my very own wig? PINCH ME.

I’ve collaborated with the team at Petite to design my DREAM wig. The colour, the density, the cut, the style…EVERYTHING!

After months of going back and forth to get every little detail perfect, The Holly Wig is here.

The Holly Wig is more than just a wig. It’s a wig with a mission. Let me tell you all about it…

MEET THE HOLLY WIG

Ultra-realistic, lace-front hair line

Long curtain bangs for face-framing

Techno Fibre Synthetic Hair (no styling or colour maintenance needed!)

Lower density with soft, swishy layers

Cute bob length, perfect for summer!

This pink colour is called ‘Oh My Holly’ (also available soon in natural colours)

I’m also so excited that this wig is coming in kid sizes. When I was little, wigs were never actually made for kids. They were heavy, too big, too grown-up, and didn’t make me feel like me.

So we fixed that.

These pieces will come in special children’s sizing and will be available in my ‘Oh My Holly’ pink, followed by a range of natural colours coming in 2026! And because I grew up with alopecia, I got to help design them in a way that actually supports kids, light, comfortable, secure, and made for real life, not just sitting still.

Kids going through alopecia, chemo, or any kind of hair loss deserve to feel seen and included. They deserve hair that lets them play, run, laugh, and just be kids again.

If younger-me had something like this, she would’ve been so much more confident. 💗

For the kids, too.

A wig with a mission.

$$ FROM EVERY SALE GOES TO VARIETY AUSTRALIA

Growing up with alopecia, I didn’t get many chances to play with hair. Other kids got to experiment with cute styles, fun colours, the latest trends… and I was just trying to make peace with having none at all, and being stuck with awful wigs I couldn’t style anyway. Hair never felt like something fun to me. It felt like something I’d lost before I ever got to enjoy it.

So creating this wig?

It’s a love letter to little-me.

The girl who felt different.

The girl who didn’t see many people who looked like her.

The girl who had no idea she’d grow up to reclaim all of it in the most colourful way possible.

This Holly Wig is everything I wish I had back then. A reminder that losing your hair doesn’t mean losing your ability to express yourself. If anything, alopecia gave me permission to reinvent myself whenever I want. Wigs became my superpower.

And I wanted this wig to be more than just cute hair. I wanted it to do something good.

So for every Holly Wig sold, part of the proceeds will be donated to Variety - The Children’s Charity, who supports kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage, or living with disability, including kids who need wigs or other life-changing support like I once did.

This collaboration is for the kids like me who didn’t feel seen.

For the ones who feel different and aren’t sure what to do with that feeling yet.

For the ones who deserve joy, creativity, and a big bright future.

This wig carries all of that, the fun, the healing, the impact.

It’s not just a hairstyle.

It’s my heart on display… in pink 💗

Timeline

How this wig came to life

May

The collab begins

In May 2025, Sharryn, the owner of Petite Wigs got in touch with me. She asked me whether I’d be up for collaborating and creating my very own wig! I was so excited to be able to bring my vision to life. But, I wanted this to be more than just another wig…

July

Designing the dream wig

We spent the next few months voice noting back and forth, sending pictures and discussing what my ‘dream wig’ would look like. Sharryn even sent colour swatch samples so I could approve everything from the root colour to the exact shade of pink. Kinda felt like build-a-bear for wigs 😂

October

First sample and cut

In early October, the first full sample was finished! Sharryn sent me the first sample. The colour looked amazing! So next up was the cut. I had it cut on me in the exact style I want for the wig. Then I sent it back to Sharryn for her to produce the wigs with that cut and style.

December

The Holly Wig is born

Then, in early December, I received the final product. Sharryn made sure I was happy with the result, the colour, the length, the cut…I loved it all! We decided to slightly soften the root colour so that it would suit more people. The Holly Wig was born.

Now, she’s a reality!!

The Holly Wig is now in production and soft launching on December 19th, ready for full stock launch late January.

So, why, when I had a choice of ANYTHING, did I choose this design?

I LOVE having a fun colour option in my wig closet, but vibrant colours in human hair require a lot of maintenance. The colour fades, it needs styling, all the things. But a synthetic? That colour is going to STAY.

Plus, human hair wigs are a bigger investment. And you might not want to spend all that money on a “fun” wig you only wear on occasion.

And also… to heal my inner child. This wig is really a love letter to little Holly, and all the alopecia kids out there. Reclaiming what hair loss took from us and actually HAVING FUN with our alopecia.
